Summer Solstice + Full Moon Outdoor Flow

This class is taught by:

Kim Quinn

Kimberly Quinn, a busy mother of four and practicing attorney, knows what it's like to live in a hectic world. After finding yoga and honing her practice she realized the potential benefit of helping others through her own style and teaching.

She completed her Yoga Certification, a 200 hour Yoga teacher training course, culminating in January 2012. Always looking to grow, she has attended a number of yoga workshops including Foundations in Action in Miami, Florida with Baron Baptiste, Gravity and Grace with Peter Sterious and an immersion workshop with Sid McNairy and Pradeep.

Kimberly's philosophy centers on healing and strengthening the body, while reconciling the pressures and pace of everyday life with a meditative and spiritually uplifting practice.

Join Eric and Kim for a Full Moon Flow and Summer Solstice bath sound with singing bowls. June’s Full Strawberry Super moon will occur June 21, 2024 with the Summer Solstice being June 22, 2024. The alignment of these two powerful celestial events is recorded around every twenty years.

This yoga flow and sound workshop will feature a sun salutation, honoring the powerful, life nurturing strength of the Summer Solstice sun, followed by a Full Moon flow honoring the Strawberry Super moon and it’s representation of planting an early harvest of seasonal plants. This will be followed by a deep relaxation to let the body release toxins and restore energy.

The presence of both Solar (masculine) and Lunar (feminine) celestial
energies will be combined to help create a yoga flow that will balance both aspects of these energy systems in our bodies. The sounds of crystal singing bowls will also help re-align our chakras energy channels and clear any blockages. This transitional period, Summer Solstice and Strawberry Super moon, will be a great time to release stagnation from winter and spring seasons and move into the full energy of the summer with its growth and abundance quality. It is a time of letting go of things that no longer serve and stepping into that new path will full vibrant energy and enthusiasm.

This will be an outside event held in the John Brown Tannery park located off Stow St and the Cuyahoga River in the Kent Park and Recreation system. Bring appropriate clothing, water, a light blanket for relaxation and
insect repellant as you may require.
