Partner Yoga Workshop

This class is taught by:

Terra Blue

Terra came to Yoga 3 years ago due to debilitating back pain that kept her from being the physically active person she was so accustomed to. Despite her preconceived notion that Yoga was for wimps, her husband and sister convinced her to at least try it. It not only left her pain free, but she discovered a powerful athletic, mental clarifying, and spiritual passion. For over a decade, she was a graphic designer who secretly always wanted to be a teacher but lacked the passion for anything to teach…until she found Yoga. She has made a career switch with completing her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Tami Schneider in May 2013 and is a certified and nationally registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance.

She believes every teacher she has had the privilege to take a class with in the Cleveland area, as well as elsewhere, have all helped to create the teacher she has become. She also realizes that her students are the teachers that will continue her growth! Her teaching style is fun and free-spirited, she utilizes her visual creativity to speak to poses in a unique way. She enjoys assisting and feels it is a strong and highly affective form of non-verbal communication for both student and teacher to learn about one another. Although you will certainly have fun, you will also be challenged as she believes in the "power" element of Yoga. She feels that all yogis are elite athletes that bring their calm, readiness, focus, and fearlessness to their mat. What makes them a truly unique athlete is their ability to bring that power off the mat and into everyday life as well!

Terra hopes to bring yoga and meditation to the workplace with her yogi husband, Chris. They feel that stress and a lack of focus and mental space at work are leading many people to illness, dissatisfaction and thus unhappy home lives. Part of any company's overall wellness plan or brainstorming retreats should include yoga and meditation to create mental space, creativity, focus, release, and overall health for their employees. They hope to bring the change they would like to see in the world!

Carly Conatser

Yoga is a process, not a product. No matter what life throws at us, yoga offers compassion resiliency, presence, and strength, even when it’s just laying down and breathing deeply. For two years Carly served as an intern for the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, where she also completed 200- and 500-hour yoga teacher training programs. Before the internship, she taught yoga to veterans and survivors of domestic violence in New York City. Carly has continued to deepen her understanding of yoga as a healing modality with additional teaching certifications in restorative yoga and trauma-informed yoga. Carly is currently the curriculum director and lead teacher of the 200-hour teacher training program at One Love Yoga & Boutique in Kent, OH. She feels lucky to support others on their journeys as yogis and teachers. Yoga helped Carly to know herself better, and she loves to support others on their paths of empowerment and discovery.
Join Ann and Rick in a fun workshop focused on connecting, supporting, and creating balance in your relationship. We’ll move through partner-assisted asanas that will deepen your stretches and your connection to your chosen partner. This practice will bring awareness to your breath, physical practice, communication, and trust among partners. You and your partner will share an intention that supports and connects to one another, then we’ll practice a flow that walks you through the individual asanas before tying it all together. Balance is key in every relationship which we will focus on by listening to each other and creating room for the individual in each shared pose. This workshop is open to all relationships seeking to deepen your connection physically and spiritually. Cost: $15 a person
